GB Ingredients Ltd, part of the international group Lallemand, produces a range of dried products including bakers’ yeast for a number of companies including Warburton and Hovis. Following its takeover by the international company Lallemand in 2009, its range diversified… along with its packaging needs. GB Ingredients is based in Felixstowe, Suffolk, running one of Lallemand’s largest factories. It began using CLF Boxwise for packaging in 2011 and the companies have worked together to solve packaging solutions ever since.
GB Ingredients was principally a supplier of dried yeast in the UK and to export markets. When the company grew following its takeover by Lallemand, they started to restore some old lines and diversify, supplying yeast for distillery, brewery and wine companies. As GB Ingredients’ range grew, so did their output and with it a need for more and varied packaging. With growth came development and GB Ingredients also had to install more machinery even though that took up valuable storage space that could no longer be utilised for packaging products.
CLF Boxwise supplies packaging to GB Ingredients on a weekly basis – with extra deliveries as needed – so valuable space is not taken up. Products always need specific packaging and throughout 2025 CLF Boxwise delivered vast quantities of custom-made boxes, wooden and plastic pallets, layer pads and laminated bags. We also provide a stock and serve service to GB Ingredients, managing their packaging stocks from our own warehouse, saving the client’s precious storage space as well as ensuring there would never be a shortfall in supply.
